De la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re j&#8217;emploierai le mot &#8220;tirer&#8221; au lieu de <em>border<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Le winch est un dispositif tournant \u00e9quip\u00e9 de cliqu\u00e9, ne permettant la rotation que dans un unique sens. Sa fonction et d&#8217;aider l&#8217;\u00e9quipage \u00e0 tirer sur une corde afin de la tendre au maximum. L&#8217;on proc\u00e8de g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e0 plusieurs tours de corde sur le winch, avant de tirer ; ainsi, le winch tourne dans le sens de la tension et emp\u00eache la corde de se d\u00e9tendre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ici, il n&#8217;est pas question de poulie (<a href=\"https:\/\/arnaud.collignan.net\/blog\/2023\/07\/10\/poulies-et-grand-voile\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"303\">voir cet article<\/a>), et donc de r\u00e9duction de l&#8217;effort de traction. Le winch met en jeu le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de friction entre lui-m\u00eame et la corde, limitant ainsi le risque qu&#8217;elle se d\u00e9tende. Plus la corde fait de tours autour du winch, plus la force de friction sera grande, et limitera le glissement de la corde dans le sens de la d\u00e9tente.
